Last Chance to Save 31% on Peak Design’s Roller Pro: Tariff Protected

Peak Design’s Roller Pro Kickstarter campaign has been a smashing success — accruing over $12M in pledges — but it is ending very soon (Friday at 3 AM ET). This would be your last chance to save $185 or 31% on an impressive new roller.

The best part of this price is: it’s locked-in and won’t be impacted by any current or future tariffs. According to their FAQ: “… we’ve made the decision to not add any additional tariff charges to your pledges. The price you pay on Kickstarter (plus any applicable local VAT/GST/tax, charged in your post-campaign fulfillment survey) will be the price you pay, regardless of what happens with tariffs between now and the time we fulfill rewards.”

Check out the Peak Design Roller Pro Kickstarter campaign, but please do so before Friday at 3 AM ET!

As with all Kickstarter campaigns, there is always a risk that creators will not be able to fulfill the rewards of the pledge. The company behind this campaign has a history of delivering successful campaigns, so the risk is lower (but never zero). Pledge at your own risk!

Canon USA Price Increase Within 1-2 Weeks: 7-8% Hike Expected

Several Canon USA authorized dealers have notified their customers about upcoming price increases from Canon and other photography brands. One dealer announced: “Due to recent tariff increases on imported goods, we’re facing higher costs and prices will be going up within the next 1-2 weeks.”

The most likely dates for a Canon USA price increase would either be April 21st or April 28th. Both the dealer price as well as the end-consumer MSRP will be increasing. We’re hearing (but have not yet confirmed) that the magnitude of the increase will be approximately 7-8%, and be across the entire Canon camera and lens line-up.

In the apt words of another dealer, “if you’ve been eyeing something special, now’s the time — order soon to lock in current pricing”.
