Many readers are asking — did Canon change any prices for the Black Friday weekend? Yes, Canon USA has discounts for the 4-day weekend (from November 29th through December 2nd), but there’s not much to see. While the deals on the R100 and the PICK PTZ are intriguing, there was only one lonely RF lens discounted. (Several PowerShot point-and-shoot cameras were also discounted, but are omitted from this list).
These deals remain active through Monday at authorized Canon USA dealers.
Something different: the Canon Store is discounting the refurbished PowerShot PICK PTZ Camera (Black) — it’s now $59.00 (compare with a price of $399 brand new). The Canon PowerShot PICK is a portable pan-tilt-zoom camera with active subject tracking. The battery-powered camera analyzes the scene, recognize faces, and then begins to automatically record photos and videos.
