Peak Design‘s 14th kickstarter campaign, the Peak Design Roller Pro, has been wildly successful, with over $4.5M in pledges after just 24 hours — well on its way to being their most successful crowdfunding campaign yet.
We’re not surprised, because their roller is very impressive; it’s obvious that great care has been taken to design this bag with utility in mind. Check out this entertaining six minute video which explains their design ethos and steps through the many features.
The only one downside we can spot is the price — at a $600 MSRP, this is quite steep, even for this premium bag with an impressive lifetime warranty. But, this is where their kickstarter campaign can help, as a pledge of $425 earns you a bag, a $175 or 29% savings from the expected MSRP.
As with all Kickstarter campaigns, there is always a risk that creators will not be able to fulfill the rewards of the pledge. The company behind this campaign has a history of delivering successful campaigns, so the risk is lower (but never zero). Pledge at your own risk!
