Yes, the R6 Mark II briefly hit $1499 last Black Friday, but that deal lasted only about two minutes. Since the 15% tariff took effect, sub-$1699 opportunities have been extremely rare. The EOS R8 follows the same story. While it has historically been cheaper, post-tariff, sub-$1099 pricing has been fleeting, also only lasting a few hours most of the times it dipped below this price.

If you’ve been waiting on either camera, now is the time. These prices are historically strong, post-tariff, and usually sell out quickly. If the refurbished price does drop within the 14 day return period, Canon has been historically good at honoring price adjustments. Don’t wait for a lower price to appear — it might not, and even if it does, it will be gone in minutes.
